Interview
MBA FT recruiting for 2026 class at JPM M&A Tech SF too kplace within a week;
Monday - Fit check call with the hiring manager (banker),
Tuesday - Superday offered on Friday
Friday - Superday (3 Rounds x 30 mins)
Monday - Another FIT check call with healthcare MD

Superday was structured. 1 Sr MD, 1 VP, and 1 associate were the interviewers. MD conversation was like a machine gun - questions after questions, VP chat was more of a back-and-forth conversation regarding the deal that she worked on. The technical round was conducted by the sr associate with template JP questions, and I felt really strong about this after the superday.

Saturday, the hiring manager reached out asking for some availability to chat with Healthcare MD - and that conversation was a bummer. Did not go well, and could not connect with her. She was also super stern and poker-faced throughout the conversation. After this conversation, I felt it could go either way. And it didn't go the way I wanted to finally.
Interview Questions
Why JPM?
Why not the previous bank? Do you have a return offer?
Deal: Why cash+stock and not debt? What if the deal were cash only? How would the valuation play out?
