AML Associate, Business Analysis & QA

Had a phone screen from HR, after which I was rejected. A week later, the hiring manager called me in for an interview (yes, you are reading that right), where I had two rounds. I mention that HR had rejected me, and the manager didn't know I had interviewed with HR.

A couple of weeks later I had another round in person with the MD that was primarily a discussion about AML rules and methods. I had no prior experience, but he was impressed with the insights I was able to draw from studying the rules.

The next step was another phone interview round with HR (?!). The first phone one was a waste, as the HR rep was representing the UK office, not the NY office. So I tried to schedule another one with HR.

Six weeks later HR calls me at home at 8:00pm for a phone interview, without giving me prior notice. When the issue of money came up, things went south quickly.
