Investment Analyst

Applied online and through a contact in the company. Was called by an HR rep about a week later for a phone interview. Mainly fit questions - why I wanted to leave my current job, why the new position was interesting, etc. After that was done I received a call another week later asking me to come in to the office to meet the team.

Had an interview with the senior analyst that lasted about 45 minutes. Standard investment questions - what stocks do you like, explain why, etc. - mixed with fit and personality questions. Pretty simple as she didn't go too far in depth. After that I met with the PM who asked the same style questions but grilled me on my answers. Very stressful and you really had to know your stuff. Got out of it relatively unscathed, I thought, but received a notification that I was not chosen for the job about 2 weeks later. Good experience all around, though.
