Investment Banking Summer Analyst

First learned about the firm at a reception held at my university freshman year. I filled in my name in an attendance sheet and started receiving emails from the recruiter. I applied to their diversity program online and received an email after 2 weeks with an invitation for a phone-interview. The phone interview was very qualitative and seemed more like a review of my resume. I received an email soon after the phone interview confirming I had made it to the super day, the super day started with a reception and short speech from a MD. It consisted of 3 back to back 1-on-1 interviews. I received a phone call about 2 weeks after the interview day informing that I have received the offer.

From my experience and what I have heard from other people who interviewed, the offers are general offers and you have to place into a group after you get one. I highly suggest reaching out to your campus recruiter, if you have one, if you dont, whatever contact they put on your interview invitation will do. Tell them what groups you are interested in, and more likely than not they will schedule your interviews with people in that group. Make sure you STUDY the group and know what is CURRENTLY going on in their field and you will nail the interview because you will be able to for example: "talk about all the IPO's you studied to the Equity Capital Markets interviewers"
