Investment Banking Summer Analyst

I attend a non-target school from Canada and applied for the job via campus recruitment. The firm never visited the campus, but screened for first round interviews by a combination of references and resumes submitted. The first round consisted of several phone interviews with the Toronto office then the New York office. The interviews with the New York office were with an associate and a vice president. After passing both of these portions, there were the super day interviews. At the super day, they separate them into target school super days and non target school super days.

At the super day, there are five interview slots throughout the morning. Each candidate has three interviewers, with each interviewee interviewing with an associate, vice president, and managing director. The interview with the associate is more technical, but the questions were straightforward basic questions from many guides. The interviews with the vice president and managing director was more behavioural. They simply wanted to know your core interests and what type of person you are.

The only negative with this interview was that they didn't reimburse me.
