Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I applied via the Latinx Early Insight Program. I submitted an initial online application and then I was immediately asked to do a Hirevue for both the MMBSI program itself as well as for the diversity Early Insight Program. Both Hirevues were very similar. It was mostly behavioral questions and a few markets-related questions essentially concerned with current events and fundamental markets concepts. After this, I waited a month or so and got an email invitation for the Pre-Super-Day Early Insights Commercial Banking Conference. It was a 3-hour event held via Zoom with panelists of diverse analysts and associates. There were about 40 or so of us candidates on the Zoom call, and we learned as much as possible in those three hours about the Commercial Banking MMBSI programs. It was quite interactive, and I asked the panelists 1-2 questions during the Q&A. During the Super Day, the next day, we didn't have to do a case interview, whereas most other candidates did indeed have to do a case. From what I had heard, the case was a typical business overview one that asked the candidate to ponder marketing and credit-worthiness concepts relating to a company that wanted to launch a new product. Questions were a mix between conceptual credit-based questions and markets as well as typical behavioral ones. Overall, the hiring process was merit-based for me, and the diversity program was a game changer. If you identify as a diversity candidate, I highly recommend applying via this route. My summer analyst class mates who are non-diverse typically all just had resumes that highlighted their involvement in finance-related organizations and experiences.
