Please describe the interview / hiring process.
During the recruiting process JPM held several events on campus at my school and I attended all of them. The week before interviews they held an exclusive networking event that I was invited to. They invited 22 students to interview and my interview consisted of a brief fit section with an in-depth review of my previous internship. Didn't really feel like a typical IB interview and more just a general knowledge of finance and what I had done. I was called back for final round that evening which was a 1 on 2 interview that had some markets and capital structure questions. Not what I was expecting at all. Overall, the people there were very nice but there was a sense of aristocracy. I think why I didn't get the offer was because I didn't do great on the markets oriented section. I feel like I never got to prove my IB specific knowledge but I guess they just assumed people knew that and went with more specific general knowledge questions.
