I networked my way into a meeting with the MD of the Private Bank. After several one on one meetings with him I was invited to their offices to speak with several of their staff members to talk about my interest in the Private Bank. Since that point we have been talking monthly about a possible opening, however, the longer it goes the more likely it will be that I do not receive an offer.

As this VP role is a sales position there is significant follow up and I even met with the regional director of the Private Bank for an hour. It feels like they try to talk you out of wanting to work in the Private Bank in order to gauge your ability to remain positive.

The interview process was brutal because of the uncertainty of having a position available for me and in the end I don't think they had the budget to hire me in. If they came tomorrow with an offer I would take it. Really enjoyed meeting with their team and how they approach their business here in Atlanta.
