Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The process started when a campus recruiting HR reached out to me directly. We first had a fairly standard introductory conversation, mostly focused on behavioral and background-related questions. The HR gave me an overview of the manager and the team, and we talked about my motivation for applying, what I was looking for in a role, and whether I was more interested in trading, quantitative research, or other types of positions. We also briefly discussed my previous internship and research experience and how they related to the team.

The first technical round was conducted over video. Before the interview, HR mentioned that I should be prepared for questions covering math, coding, and statistics, so I spent quite a bit of time reviewing those areas. However, the actual interview turned out to be quite different. I was not asked any traditional technical questions at all—no probability puzzles, coding problems, or statistics questions. Instead, almost the entire interview focused on my previous experiences and the technical details of the projects I had worked on.
