Investment Banking Analyst

Phone interviewed with an analyst who was just 1-2 years older than me. He was trying to play the "bad cop" but failed to intimidate because he seemed unsure and was envious of some of the experience on my resume. He basically said the position is not exciting and you have to do really difficult bitchwork...I could tell he has had a really hard time at his work. He was mostly interested in how much I knew about investment banking, what does an analyst exactly do, etc. Then he grilled me on FIG specific technical questions for the rest of the interview. I'm not really interested in FIG or investment banking and was just poking around, so bombed the technical questions.
