Asset Management Analyst

Was found via recruiter on linkedin. Set up initial phone screen with Managing Director, was then selected for an onsite super day in the Houston office. Took about two weeks from the phone screen to the interview being scheduled. I was not seeking employment at this time, but took the interview anyways since it is KKR.

Very few technicals, mostly involved discussing my prior deal/asset management experience. Was asked common deal metrics I look at when underwriting, also my view on particular submarkets, etc. very general questions. Most difficult question I received was "What's your favorite excel hot key?". Made me laugh a bit - I think they were tired of talking with me. I spoke with five people- MD from the phone screen, a couple of Associates, the executive assistant, and the head of Global Real Estate Portfolio/Asset Management.

Best conversation was with the MD and the main guy. Was great to talk to a female MD (since this is a bit of a rarity).
