Associate

Interviewed on-cycle. Process was very fast and consisted of one 30-min chat with an associate who asked about resume experience, one 30-min chat with a principal who asked about investor framework and KKR portcos, a 3-hour LBO case study, a 30-min chat with MD who asked behaviorals and pretty deep personal philosophy debates, before I dropped out of the process. I still had a case debrief left to go but received a competing offer that I just decided to take. The people were incredibly intelligent and very pleasant but also seemed very serious about their work. Given it was on-cycle, it was mostly facilitated by the headhunters. I did speak with members of the team a bunch leading up to on-cycle though in the form of coffee chats.
