What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview process was very straightforward. I reached out to my college's career office and they referred me to a Private Equity Partner with the firm. I spoke briefly with the Partner over the phone and he said that I had a strong story. From there he floated my resume around the office and in a week or so I received an email from an Associate who was looking for an Analyst. The interview took place over Zoom and he asked me the industry-standard questions: Why PE? Why KKR? Tell me about yourself. Afterward, he asked me a few technical questions all out of the 400 Question IB Guide. Sadly, I tripped up on two of the five questions although I eventually answered them correctly. Told me on the spot that they were going in a different direction. Had to respect him.
