Please describe the interview / hiring process.
This was for an experienced audit associate audit role focusing on financial services sector. Standard online application process, then took a basic aptitude test (numerical + verbal reasoning tests).
The tests were similar to the style offered by banks and other professional firms, but on the easier scale, multiple choice.
The 1 on 1 interview was a 30 minute interview with a partner, not complicated at all.
Basic questions:
1) Why KPMG? Why audit?
2) Tell me about a time you experienced a challenge at the work place and how you solved it.
3) Tell me what you know about the work culture in audit (i.e. what do you know about the hours and work demands).
Financial services specific question:
4) If you audit a bank or a securities firm, what deliverables would you prepare for the client (as opposed to a non-bank/non-securities client).
