Auditing Intern

The office was very nice and professional, on the 32nd floor. There were 3 people interviewing that day, and 2 internships available. We met with the recruiter first who introduced the company and explained the many benefits for working for KPMG. Then I interviewed with a manager and a partner. I found that preparing for the standard interview questions was mostly a waste of time because the interview was pretty informal. I answered the standard "tell me about yourself" but we also talked about what we do in our free time. It was very back and forth and not one-sided. Both interviewers told me about their life and career at KPMG. The interview is mostly to confirm that you can communicate effectively. Then we all went to lunch with some associates. You need to remember that the lunch is also part of the interview so be your best and network effectively.
