Economic and Valuation Services Associate

This relates to Economic and Valuation Services (EVS). I applied to be interviewed through a posting for on-campus recruiting. Within a month or so, I was contacted for a preliminary screening, i.e. a phone interview. For people in the city that they are applying to, this may be an in-person interview. After that, the second stage of interviewing included 3 - 4 new interviewers and a case study. This is done in a "super-day" style, meaning it's all over the course of one day. Everyone is judging you on that day, including your runners (the people who take you interviewer to interviewer) and the people who take you to lunch. People slip up on those because they don't realize they are being judged.

In general, the people who are hired are the ones who are talented but sort of have an outgoing or chill personality. The staff pool is pretty large and pretty young, so in general, the vibe of the group is pretty outgoing / chill. They look for people who can work with that, even if they may be on the quiet side.
