The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview

One initial phone screen, followed by three back-to-back phone interviews with the MD, the COO, and an analyst.

Interview Questions

No truly unexpected questions were asked. Most questions asked were fairly basic--for example, the interview with the COO was entirely behavioral and framed much more like a conversation than a question-and-answer format. The other two interviews were fairly regular, except for the fact that there were no technicals. Instead, they generally asked about experiences with excel and powerpoint and such. Other standard questions like "why banking," "why Landmark Ventures," and "tell me about a leadership experience" abound.

Interview

Interviewed with Landmark Venture for business development intern in their New York office. Great experience.

Interview Questions

not much since many of the questions were fit based rather than skills, and generally the interviewers were nice and trying to have a conversation with you instead of asking difficult questions. But know the company history well since they will ask what do you know about us and why do you want to work for landmark venture. There maybe some brain teaser but i cant remember for sure since its a while ago. on the first day they welcome you with a little wool blanket and make like you are welcomed.

Interview

I applied for the position through my university's career site. There was an initial phone interview focused on describing the firm and asking my interest in the position as well as overall background. This was mostly behavioral.

Afterwards, I was invited for an in-person meeting with a senior associate. It was a generally pleasant experience though there were technicals centering around financial statements, the M&A process, and macro-level questions too. I kept my cool and did the best I could with the questions and was invited approximately 3 days later for another in-person with a managing director. This second interview was less focused on the usual financial concepts and more towards my thought process. We went over a question related to present value and some of its real-world applications. The rest of the conversation spoke to my background, interest in the firm, and usual behaviorals. I managed to do decently well and was invited for a third and final interview with another managing director.

The last interview was quite interesting and we talked generally about the tech industry and certain niche opportunities in the space. I have a specific interest in the sector and it was interesting to really hear about some of the deals they cover.

Interview Questions

General financial statement questions (what are the main 3), asked to walk through a DCF, how do you arrive at FCF for the model.
Spoke to the LBO process, differences between strategic and financial buyer. What makes a takeover target attractive.

Interview

There were 3 rounds of interviews. First with HR on the phone, then with junior bankers, and finally with Managing Directors and the founders.

Interview Questions

An unexpected question was to describe the physical office in which I envision working. I hadn't really thought much about it, but I guess it is a fair question.
I was asked to give examples of each my top 3 strengths that I provided. Luckily, I was prepared for this type of question.
