Spring intern- Lazard, London,

The hiring process began with a basic form, CV and two questions: Which person, dead or alive, fictional or real, would you invite to dinner and why (max 250 words)? and Please share with us a defining moment of your life that shaped you to be the individual that you are today (max 250 words)?. After this, there was a Situation Judgement Test. Passing this, there was an invitation to a video interview with the following 5 questions:
1. Why IB/banking/financial advisory? (you need to answer specifically why financial advisory/M&A)
2. What interests you about Lazard? —> very precise answers needed. What makes Lazard different from other investment firms? How how do you fit Lazard?
3 .Describe a time in which you've shown strengths and weaknesses.  
4. Describe when you managed a situation when you had to prioritise tasks/use time management skills.
5. What differentiates you from other candidates?  Why should we take you over someone else? What makes you the best candidate?  
After this there was a telephone interview.
