Interview Details

What did the interview consist of?
1 on 1 Interview
IQ / Intelligence Test
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Firstly, I applied online for the job. After that they sent me an email with a link a few days later. The link was for an aptitude test, where you're given 50 IQ Test and Detail Scrutiny types of questions, and you’re given 15 minutes to do so. Once the timer is up, the test automatically ends even if you didn’t complete all the questions. One other thing is that once you submit an answer in the test, you cannot go back to it, so you have to be sure of your answer while also minding the time.

About a day after the test, I received an email where I was invited for a 1 on 1 interview, and they provided a link for me to choose which time and date best suited me. After doing that, I received the interview confirmation email about a day later.

During the interview, the Interviewing Employee, lets call her IE for short, started off by introducing herself and what she does (she is an HR employee) and explaining what Lincoln International does in brief. Then she asked me to tell her about myself, why did I choose finance or why did I decide to pursue this career, all in one go.

After my answer, she asked me why did I decide to go for valuation.

Then she proceeded to ask me about my previous jobs and what exactly my role was in each of them.

After my answer, the IE went into logistical questions, such as my expected salary range, whether I was fine with relocating ( I live in a different country from the job’s location) and what was my notice period if a job were offered. She also asked what languages I am proficient in other than english.

After those questions, she started explaining the interview process and the rounds that will follow, like a 1 on 1 with an analyst or banker that tests me on technicals, then a take-home case study where I have 24 hours to complete it, and finally a super day. The super day is a day that you get multiple interviews back-to-back with different people. She didn’t specify exactly who is involved, but said it can range from analysts, bankers, and top management like the managing director.

When she finished explaining, the IE asked if I had any questions for her about the interview process or anything else in general.

Finally, she told me that I will know whether I’m in the next round about a week later, and we said our goodbyes.
