Analyst

Applied online and received an email from HR indicating they would like to set up a first round interview. Had 2 first round phone screens, one with a VP and another with an Associate. VP vetted me heavily on past deal experience and specific multiples of deals , why I wanted to do banking, what interests me in Macquarie, etc.

2nd interview with associate was both behavioral and technical. Was given some brainteasers and silly behavioral questions. Also got the 10 increase in depreciation question.

3rd step was the skills test. Macquarie makes everyone take this standardized test (its an SHL test). Basically an IQ test. Pretty easy but I would recommend preparing to prepare you for the style of questions.

Last step was a superday in NY office. Extremely technical but everyone was really nice and helped your through the questions.
