Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The process started with an online application, and I’d definitely recommend networking as much as possible beforehand—having a connection inside really helps. After submitting my resume and cover letter, I was invited to a first-round phone interview with HR, which focused on my background and motivation for applying. Next, I had a couple of technical interviews with analysts and associates. These covered valuation methods, financial modeling, and some recent deals, so make sure to brush up on your technicals. The final round was a Superday with a mix of behavioral and technical questions, mostly from VPs and directors. They really tested my fit for the firm, along with my problem-solving skills.
