Interview
After talking to a couple analysts who were alumni from my University, they each forwarded my resume and info to the head of recruiting. I then had to write a cover letter saying why I wanted to work there specifically, as well as a description of a company that would be considered a leader in their industry. This followed with a modeling prompt, and then a phone interview. Unfortunately, they were not able to accommodate my schedule after that with another exploding offer.
Interview Questions
The modeling prompt itself was a little difficult insofar as it allowed for a lot of your own interpretation and assumptions. You had to make calls that they don't teach you in the interview guide or in your Corporate Finance courses, but this served as better proof if candidates were ready for the job. Apart from that, there were a couple fit questions that I was not entirely prepared for. I researched the firm as much as possible, but probably should have tried to reach out to a couple senior members of the firm.

Had an informational interview with an analyst and he followed up with a modeling test for me to complete
Interview Questions
Nothing too surprising. Interviewer asked me typical fit questions. Why interested in marathon/ why IB/ experience to get you ready for IB/ tell me about your favorite class. Then followed up with some basic technicals including walk me through DCF, how to calculate WACC, which financial statement would you choose and what deals have you been following. Interviewer was very nice and followed up with a modeling test about a widget factory. My model was not up to par and I did not move on in the process.

Got in contact with alumni who worked at firm. He forwarded my info to HR and an analyst contacted me for a phone interview. Did not move to next round after phone interview.
Interview Questions
The interviewer picked a lot at my resume in ways that I was not prepared for. He asked very specific questions about my prior internships and experiences. He also asked about the three financial statements. Asked about retained earnings, how the statements interact. He asked to tell him about recent news that I found very interesting. Also asked me why I was interested in Marathon Capital and what got me interested in investment banking. Questions weren't very difficult and I should've been more prepared.

Interview
I applied online through my University's job portal. I then had to take the "Street of Walls" test. After completing the test, I was contacted by a VP to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was very basic and consisted of 2 simple technical questions, followed by basic behavioral questions (time you failed, etc.). At the end of the call I was invited to a superday at their office. The superday consisted of 1 on 1 interviews with approximately 5 bankers (MDs, VP, and associates). There was also a case study component, which was relatively easy. Overall, the MDs and most associates were very nice. Some associates and VPs grilled you on technicals and placed a lot of pressure on you during behavioral questions. Some industry-specific questions were asked.
Interview Questions
Phone questions were very basic. What are the three financial statements, and how do they link together?

IS, BS, and CFS. Describe linkages.
How does depreciation affect the three financial statements?

Pretty simple question. Review the WSO guide.
Why renewable energy/infrastructure?

Described my motivations for working in the industry. Mentioned personal background, where the industry is headed, emerging markets, etc.
Why Chicago? Have you thought about commuting?

The office is big on Chicago. They are also located in a suburb, so you need to consider the 1+ hr commute to work if you choose to live in the city.
