Please describe the interview / hiring process.
There were a few rounds of phone interviews. These are mainly just to make sure you have an idea of what you are talking about and somewhat entrepreneurial personality. Then I came in and met with 3 different FA's. This was described to me as an opportunity for me to pick senior FA's brains on what the job would be like (and it was). But it was also clearly so that current FA's could gauge whether or not I would be a good fit and had an idea of how to build my practice. Finally came the pannel interview with our sales director, my RD and HR person. You need to have your business plan ready and ideas of the different niche markets you plan on targeting and basically how you plan to hit the ground running from day 1. A couple of weeks after that I received a phone call telling me I was hired.
