Interview
Interviewed with a PM in one of the silos focused on consumer and retail. PM was very nice and down to earth. Mainly asked about my background, fit to HF, how I would make the transition from pe to HF successfully, my interest in consumer. Then I was asked to speak about a few stock ideas. At the end of the interview I had to do a one hour exam which included accounting, finance, capital markets, investment and iq questions.
Interview Questions
Why switch from pe to HF? I think pe in the US is mature and saturated. I run my own public stocks portfolio and I find HF to be a very dynamic and interesting field.
Why company x is a better investment than company y? Market, growth prospects, valuation, management team, financials, products, brand.
