What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Because this was from a referral, first round interview was via phone instead of on-campus. It was a regular 30 minute phone interview by one of the analysts. Began with the standard tell me about yourself, then dived into technicals. The key here is that most of the questions were markets based instead of IBD (accounting) based. So make sure if you are interviewing for GCM that you got your markets / macroeconomics technicals down.
