Industrial Placement intern

Applied online, completed numerical reasoning test start of December. Was invited to assessment centre straight away, I'm guessing maybe because I was abroad at the time (not sure), but other applicants all seemed to have had a phone interview whereas I didn't. Assessment centre was early January. Lasted about 6 hours. Started with quick intro and handouts with schedule, then onto three 30 minute interviews one after another, one was with an MD. Then we had a group exercise where we each had to come up with a business idea and justify its feasibility including some explanation of how it would be financed etc. The group exercise was with four other people and two employees who would listen in on our group conversations to see how we work within a team, and then gave us a few minutes to pitch to them the ideas that we as a group thought to be best. Next up we had a repeat of the numerical tests we did online, easy. Then we were given a copy of the FT 6AM Cut and had 20 minutes to prepare a 10 minute individual presentation where we had to give a quick analysis of the markets and make a suggestion as to "what MS should invest in".

Overall not really tough, but my first instance of an AC and with an exam scheduled for the next day in another city I wasn't able to fully prepare and focus.
