Summer Analyst

The interview process started with a two phone interviews with analysts where I was asked technical questions about DCF and multiple analysis (all of them were covered by the technical interview guide). The next round consisted of two phone interviews with associates and VPs (one of each kind) and the questions were more complex and covered consolidation matters and their impact on the valuation of holdings (i.e how to account for consolidation effect when adjusting EBITDA?). Ultimately, I was invited to meet a MD face to face and that conversation was all fit with absolutely no technical questions (as could be expected). That last interview was pretty chill and very positive.

Overall, the recruiting process at MS is extremely pro and they contact you very quickly to notify you on the outcome (both positive and negative) and the people you get to interact with are all extremely friendly and they really want you to succeed (my perception).
