Summer Analyst

First contact for first round interview was via email, asking to confirm the phone number I submitted in my application. After confirmation, I was scheduled for two separate first round interviews by phone (which due to the time difference were at around 5am for me in the United States). Both interviews were fairly similar. I was asked to walk through a DCF, personality questions, "how well do you work in a team", "explain one challenge you faced and overcame." It was more or less what I expected.

I listed Mandarin Chinese proficiency on my resume, and I was asked to walk through my resume in Mandarin. The majority of analysts and associates at the MS HK office appear to be either people originally from Hong Kong who were educated at top U.S. or British schools, or Chinese-Americans who have a strong grasp of Mandarin Chinese.

Second round interviews were almost exactly the same as first rounds, but over Skype. Two interviews, with interviewers asking essentially the same questions. I assume they just want to get a better feel face-to-face.

I did not make it to Superday, but from the questions I asked during the first two rounds, Superdays for the MS HK office are held at the MS New York office.
