I reached out to an alumni that was pretty high up at the firm. At first, I had a 30 minute first round phone interview. I then had a super day that consisted of 3-4 interviews back to back. I heard back in a week that I did not receive an offer. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of interview questions, mostly fit.
Interview Questions
There really weren't any unexpected questions. The interview was mostly fit with a few technicals. They asked me to pitch a stock and then asked a ton of follow up questions based on my answer.

Interview
I first found Morgen, Even & Co. on an M&A advisory firm database (I was cold-calling every New York City firm in the database that had an "unstructured" internship program as I assumed those would, potentially, be easier to land). I cold-called Morgen, Evan and left a voicemail in the firm's general voicemail - I told them about my previous internship at an investment company, where I had conversations with ex-bankers whic ultimately convinced me that banking was the career for me. An analyst emailed me and asked me to send them my résumé. We subsequently set up and interview.

The interview was led by an associate who asked me to "tell me about yourself." I told him about my experience at the investment company and my excitement with M&A advisory. He asked me to walk him through the three financial statements and asked me to tell him they they relate to each other. I asked him a few questions about the firm's strategy and that was it. After about a week, they invited me for 2nd round interview in-person.

This interview was led by a Vice President who asked me to tell him about myself. I told him the same story that I told the associate, but this time I expressed my passion for investment banking more authentically (more excitedly). He said then began telling me what the analysts got to do as interns and how they get fantastic experience (participate in cross-border sell-side and buy-side deals and capital raises, conduct market-based valuations, etc.). I asked him several questions about the firm and he was very responsive. All in all, I thought the interview went well.

About three weeks later, they told me via email that they couldn't hire me. I asked why and they told me that their intern who was there for the spring semester decided to stay for the summer.
Interview Questions
Q: Tell me about yourself
A: Why I chose my college, my buy-side investing internship experience, how the internship helped me realize that IB was for me, why exactly I liked IB.
Q: Walk me through the three financial statement and explain to me how they relate to each other
A: Went over the typical line items on each statement and then gave an example (refer to the section "Accounting and Financial Statements" on Ibankingfaq.com) of purchasing a piece of equipment with cash and how that effects each of the statements in year 1 and year 2, respectively.

Interview Questions
What do you know about our firm?
The firm has very limited information available online, so it was a bit challenging to do research before hand. However, if you can find someone who worked there before, it can be very helpful.
