Applied through their website and got contacted about the first round 1-2 months later. The first interview was a 30 min one-on-one interview with one of their analyst. This interview was based mostly of behavioral and technical questions. The second round was one day, with 5 interviews 30 minutes each. Talked with two analysts and 3 senior-level employees. 2nd round had 3 case studies, behavioral and technical questions.
Interview Questions
The case studies were the most difficult questions asked. Asked about mistakes in data, what certain graphs meant, and a probability question.

Interview
I applied for the Finance and Securities practice. The first interview was a mix of behavioral and a simple case about stock price in a merger. The second interview was superday style with 4 back to back interviews. Two were with Directors and were case studies about stock price changes. The other two were behavioral and with younger staff/analysts.
Interview Questions
Nothing unexpected. Case studies and behavioral questions (Why Nera, tell me about your research, etc).

Phone Interview
Interview
Phone interview consisted of behavioral and fit questions, such as questions about research experience and interests.
Interview Questions
The phone interview featured relatively straightforward questions and none that I found too tricky. However, one that tripped me up was describing how I delegate tasks in a leadership position.

first round: phone interview. Behavioral questions such as what is your favorite course? why NERA? why economic consulting?
second round: on site. 5 rounds of 1-1 interview. Technical questions super straightforward. I dont think you need any kinds of preparation before you go. Most of the interviews centers around why you are interested in NERA and economic consulting. I think they are trying to gauge whether you are the type of person they are looking for. they are looking for people who are passionate about economic research and have some level of quantitative data skills
Interview Questions
Explain to me an economic concept that you find most interesting.

Interview
Went through my college, applied and got an online interview. Online interview was purely behavioral, I talked about my data experience, favorite econ class, etc.
Interview Questions
Nothing was particularly difficult. Be prepared to explain your research/analysis in-depth and a number of times. I had 6 back to back 30-minute behavioral interviews with folks from the Antitrust & Competition and IP practices, probably explained my data project 4-5 times. When you're talking to experts, know your stuff - nothing worse than being asked a question about your regression and giving an unclear, fumbling answer to someone whose job it is to do this stuff. They might know your approach was right, but they want to make sure you can explain why (kind of like a stress test).

Interview
The interview process was through my school. I did an in-person first interview at the school, then a final round on-site.
Interview Questions
The most difficult questions were to explain actual economic concepts to my interviewer. He would ask about specific concepts related to econometrics and economics, and there were a few concepts that I did not expect to have to explain. The other hard thing to prepare was various ways to code into STATA or R specific econometric models. I had to walk through a pretend case in econometrics, which culminated in regression testing. I had to explain how I would have ran the regression in my program of choice.

Interview
I applied through the campus recruiting program, and was invited for a first round interview on campus, where I spoke to one senior level person. I was then invited to a final round at the firm, and I spoke to 5-6 individuals including a lunch. I received an offer a few weeks later.
Interview Questions
They asked me mostly case-based questions on healthcare industry. They had a set of graphs that you would typically see in a statistics course or an econometrics course, like a QQ-plot, etc. One of the questions dealt with a particular advertisement about certain hospitals/doctors that discouraged patients from visiting them, which turned out to be false. Then they asked how I would estimate the losses caused by those ads. It had various complications, such as the region, types of doctors/patients, timeframe of the ads, and etc.

Interview
I received an invitation to do a HIreVue online interview within 2 weeks of applying for a winter internship. They rescheduled for me.
Interview Questions
None of the questions were super unexpected. In this first round interview all of the questions were behavioral. It was important for me to know my resume inside and out. Asked about previous research experience and especially quantitative experience. It was a typical Hirevue interview not much more that I can actually say to describe it but I have to meet the character minimum. This is a little bit silly.
