2025 Investment Banking Summer Analyst

I attended a core school that Nomura recruits at, so it started off by reaching out to alumni that worked at the firm. Sometime during the spring, the Nomura recruiting team came to my school to host an informational session, and have coffee chats with whoever signed up. I eventually got a first round after talking with 3 people (had good conversations with all), and this first round was one 30 minute interview with an associate. She asked me a mix of behavioral and gimme technicals, basically aligning with the 400 question guide. She focused more on LBOs because she was in the Levfin group. The superday was 3 30 minute interviews, where I had a VP and 2 associates. It was supposed to be a VP, MD, and asoc but the MD could not make it. The first of the three was weird: he gave me a confusing case study and was honestly not a nice guy at all. The next two interviews were essentially copies of the first round, with super nice interviewers. Mix of behavorial and technical with the technical side being straightforward M&I guide questions. I did not get the offer, but you hear back after a couple of days.
