Credit Research Intern

The first interview was with HR- basic why the role, why credit, what do you know about the firm, when was a time you balanced multiple projects.
second round was with 2 pairs of senior analysts: why credit? why octagon? walk me through what you have done at previous internships? can you tell me the difference between Credit and Equity Research? what are the different goals of Credit and Equity investing?
Third and Final round:
2 senior analysts, and head of HR are the interviewers, finishing with a case study with a 3 senior analyst.
First three are tradtional behavioral stuff. Do you have any of your own investment accounts? What are some themes you are seeing in the market right now? Why Octagon again. They really seemed to want to know the person as well as they could. Final interview was the case study. Basically they want to know how you think about a credit. How a company makes money, what their expenses are. how they could get hurt, and then basically walking from Total Rev to FCF, just breaking down a credit model after doing the macro stuff on a credit.
