Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The process started off with taking an online test. It was timed and had mental math questions related to basic calculations. On clearing the first online testing round, there is a behavioral interview over the phone with the HR in which they focus on your motivation for the role, your background and general fit for the role. The next round is supposed to be "technical" but don't be surprised if you are asked to tell if between 781 and 789 (just giving random numbers) if either of them is prime or not. They are not just looking for an answer or speed and accuracy, they are also testing your thinking approach. So think out loud. Could not make it past this round as I was more focused on getting to the answer (similar to the mental math test) rather than walking them through what I was thinking. The interviewer had mentioned that speed and accuracy would be tested. And in the interest of speed, I ended up going for the brute force method sometimes rather that spending time on first thinking of the most efficient solution. Was a bummer! Could not make it past this round.
