Hedge Fund Intern

Applied through my school's career site. Got an email about an interview fairly quickly. Set up an appointment in their Manhattan office. Spoke with an alum from my school. I am not in the finance field academically, which the interviewer knew, so he asked me basic questions about financial statements, etc, to see how much I knew. He mentioned that they were looking for sophomores because they do not generally hire out of their intern program and don't want to take that opportunity away from students during their junior summer. The interviewer was very nice even though the building/atmosphere was a little intimidating. However, my inexperience definitely was obvious and I did not receive an offer.
