Interview Questions
The most difficult question was basically the Company presented during the case presentation. We were provided with an listed small cap company based out of Germany which has just been spun off from its parent company. We were supposed to give a bu/sell recommendation on the company. What complicated the matter further was that we were asked to complete a investment memo in less than three days and take an informed view. Given that we were based in UK and the Company was based in Germany it wasn't enough time to meet the management.

Interview
Cold emailed the company with cover letter and resume attached. Followed up with a phone call and was invited to a formal interview with the COO. Was asked questions regarding motivation for joining and prior experience. Questions regarding my own stock portfolio and recommendations were also included. Found out analysts at the firm focused on specific sectors.
Interview Questions
What stocks do you currently hold and what have you held in the past?
This question was difficult because the company was specifically focused on small-caps, whereas the stocks I had previously held were mainly not from this sector. Knowing this, I tried to tweak my answer to make it relevant and applicable
