Associate Role

The interview process started with a long phone conversation with the hiring manager who was based in San Fran. I was then invited for a super day in the NYC office and met with people all day. Interestingly in addition to speaking with folks from the team in NY, I video conferenced with people from the Swiss, South American and European offices.

The interview included an hour long modeling test as well as a case study. The expectation was that you complete the model while also creating a ppt based on the CIM you were provided. You were given 1 hour to complete and then expected to present your work.

I was invited back for a second round of in person interviews again in the NYC office, this time to meet with all senior partner level people via video conference. One partner focused almost entirely on brain teaser questions.

Overall the people at the firm were nice, seemed smart and very energetic about the direction of the firm and their jobs. The culture seemed positive and strong.
