Interview Details
Only made it to second round but in both they will ask why finance, why PE/private markets, etc. They had very few finance technicals as I think that would be on the super day but will ask you questions surrounding their four investment groups - PE, Private Debt, RE, infrastructure, which one you are most interested in, and why. Have a real estate investment idea and a specific city you would pick and why you would invest there. Also asked what kind of industry and company would you invest in right now and what steps would you take to increase its value so make sure to nail those. Was a random question about choosing between 3 investment advisors based on fee calculation so make sure to understand different ways fees are charged.
They will ask you to tell you something about yourself that you are passionate about and that is different from other candidates, seems like they weigh this one heavier as a lot of their analysts come from really different/non-finance backgrounds so may be looking for people who not the same standard finance guy - so if you are that guy - make sure you have something or at least make yourself sound wacky or different.
