They took awhile to get back to you, but once they do its really pretty fast from then on. They will start with a call telling you that you have been shortlisted and will then proceed on to confirm with you a 1 on 1 face to face interview. after which, you will go for the interview. Quite a fair bit of fit question, little technical. but at least you should be able to explain why private equity, what is your area of interest. No valuation though. at the end of the first interview, you will be given a short assignment, to do a write up on fund performance which will take about an hour.

you then move on to the second round of interview. They will provide you with a topic one week before your interview, you will then have 1 week to prepare for the topic, 1 page executive summary and 15 min presentation deck. during the second round interview, i went through interview with 4-5 different team heads and assistant team heads. and ended the day with a presentation, which took me about 4.5 hours. During the second round interview, you will be given a written assignment again.
