Hiring process was smooth; if selected for an interview you get a first-round phone interview and if you make it to the second round, you interview with several associates at once.
Interview Questions
The most difficult questions were probably the cost of equity or accretive/diluted of affects of mergers or stocks/bonds mainly because you had to make sure you understood the foundation of each work and also make sure you were doing the math correctly along the way.

I emailed the associates responsible for recruiting for several weeks repeatedly following up about the position. I was called and briefly spoke about my previous work experience. I was then invited for an in-person interview. I was interviewed by 2 associates that briefly talked about previous classes I had taken that would be used during my time at work. I was offered the position the following week.
Interview Questions
Do you have any experience in Microsoft Office or related M&A programs? 0. I responded that I was proficient in Capital IQ. I touched on how I knew how to screen and find companies/transactions, generates reports and create custom reports/screens. I responded that I was fluent in Excel and had worked with it a lot at my previous internships and that I was confident in my ability with shortcuts, pivot-tables and various Add-ins., Tell me about your experience in Non-profit/Government entities Accounting? 1. I spoke about how I was in the middle of the class and that I was enjoying the difference and challenge between it and financial accounting (gave example of unrestricted was vs. cash account). She then spoke about her experience in it when she was at university. I spoke that my reason for studying for accounting was that I wanted to have a strong working knowledge of the financial statements, so I could actually speak to how each statement was linked.

After emailing my resume I received a phone call directly from one of the employees (VP or Associate I believe) and was asked to come in for an interview the following week. Interview was with 2 employees in their lounge and lasted around 45 minutes.

The first 20 minutes they asked about 4-5 questions.
-tell me about yourself
-was asked to elaborate on certain items from my resume (capital IQ, previous internship, research)

The next 5 minutes they described the intern position.
-20 hours / week, paid
-75% of the time I'd be doing research/due dilligence/pitch books
-25% of the time I'd be working with financial models

The last 20 minutes were conversational where they answered my questions and asked a few in-between.
