The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview Questions
Questions are as follows:
* - Tell me about yourself
* - Why Tech?
* - Why PE?
* - Why [Firm]?
* - What's 432 X 65
* - What's 32 / 19 to two digits
* - What financial levers/metrics would you look at to invest in for SaaS companies?
* - What KPIs are more important?
* - Specific unit economics for software?
* - Let's say Company A has 100 clients total. Churn is 20%. What's the difference between the churn if it does 5-year contracts vs. 1-year contracts. You need to ask for assumptions (revenue vs. customer churn, straight line vs. variable, etc.)
* What's a tech trend you have observed recently? I said autonomous trucking
* Trend related questions:
* Have you followed our [X] investment? What do you know about it?
* How do you see the investment opportunity for autonomous trucks vs cars?
* How would you think about the last mile problem? Think about navigating a city or town in a truck, what are the obstacles?
* From a pessimistic POV, you have hardware which has its cycle, and software, you have the actual trucking company but at some point everyone’s going to adopt it at some point if it’s beneficial for their ROI, are there any companies in the space that have a differentiated approach, do you think that this is at most a one time switch to benefit efficiencies or actually a good investment opportunity?
* What is the investment play here?
* What are some demonstrated long term value creation that is happening in the space?
* Talk to me about some specific companies in this space
* Questions for me?

Interview
The interview process was a typical interview process for a Private Equity position. I interviewed with the New York office and there are ~10 investment professionals at the firm. The first 2 interviews were relatively standard with a mix of behavioral and technical questions expected in a PE interview. If you move past the 1st round, you will start to meet with some of the Principals and Partners. The group has a very diverse set of backgrounds so you need to make sure you can relate with everybody (i.e. it's a "global" firm for a reason). Culture is really important to the firm. Before meeting with the last few partners, I was brought in for several in-house case studies where you are asked about a potential investment and your thoughts / rationale about the investment. (i.e. What would you ask the CEO? What are the biggest risks? How would you grow the business?, etc.). The final interview was with the Co-Managing Partner of the firm which was more confirmatory than anything else.
Interview Questions
Tell me about a recent global event you read about. They want to be sure that you're interested in global events and that you read the news. A lot of the value creation the firm brings is being able to create global companies out of local leaders. Also, Permira has 10 different offices around the world and you work on multi-continent deal teams, so being culturally-aware is really important.
