Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview process was a typical interview process for a Private Equity position. I interviewed with the New York office and there are ~10 investment professionals at the firm. The first 2 interviews were relatively standard with a mix of behavioral and technical questions expected in a PE interview. If you move past the 1st round, you will start to meet with some of the Principals and Partners. The group has a very diverse set of backgrounds so you need to make sure you can relate with everybody (i.e. it's a "global" firm for a reason). Culture is really important to the firm. Before meeting with the last few partners, I was brought in for several in-house case studies where you are asked about a potential investment and your thoughts / rationale about the investment. (i.e. What would you ask the CEO? What are the biggest risks? How would you grow the business?, etc.). The final interview was with the Co-Managing Partner of the firm which was more confirmatory than anything else.
