Interview Questions

They were interested in why Denver and why Platte River. They were very strong on fit and claimed to have a great culture. They have a number of associates that try to come back after B school. They were interested in how you think about the sectors they cover. Most of the questions were fit based with a few questions about how you think as a high level investor. They wanted to know how you thought about morphing from an individual contributor as an associate to a VP that is more of a QB on their deals.

Interview

My experience with interviewing with Platte River was positive. Their team is very professional, seems to have a great culture, and was extremely knowledgeable about their focus industries. The vice president asked a few technical questions that were mostly accounting oriented (detailed below), whereas the associates' and principals' interviews were more fit based. I received positive feedback on my interview from my recruiter, but they never got back to me quick enough as I ended up accepting another offer. The lack of response quick response after made me think I was somewhere in limbo regarding their interest. They brought in over ~12 interviewees for 1 position over the course of two weeks, which speaks to their willingness to find the right candidate.
