Fixed Income Sales and Trading Summer Analyst

First, some current capital markets employees asked my professor to refer some students for campus interviews(I go to a school down the street from PNC's headquarters in Pittsburgh). After the campus interviews I completed a superday consisting of 3 interviews. Each interview was 30 minutes back to back with 2 groups. These consisted of primarily technical questions. One was with the office of the CIO(ALM), one was with FIG and S&T, and one was with ABF and DCM. After, I filled out a preference sheet selecting which group I would prefer to place with if I received an offer. I only selected fixed income sales and trading in NY. Afterwards, I had another interview with the team in New York. This was more behavioral to see if I would be a good fit with the team. A couple days later I received a formal offer which I accepted. My only grievance is how opaque the selection was after the superday. I waited two weeks after the superday with radio silence before ANOTHER interview. It could be that I go to a very non-target school, but other candidates did not have to go through that many interviews before receiving their offer.
