Interview
The first step in engaging in the interview process was reaching out to the recruiting email on the company website. I was instructed to attach my resume, cover letter, and availability. With in one week, the associate in charge of the process reached out to schedule a phone interview. That was scheduled for a week later. This interview consisted of all behavioral/fit questions followed by an opportunity to ask questions. With in a week of this interview I was asked back for a final in person interview at their offices. I was interviewed by 3 different analysts/associates at the firm. I was instructed to walk each person through my resume then answer a series of technical questions. This was followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
Interview Questions
I was asked a series of technical questions in my final round interview. The questions were normal difficaulyy with some being slightly challenging. The questions I was asked is as follows:
How do you calculate EBITDA?
What does EBITDA represent? Why is it more important than revenue?
Walk me through a DCF?
Explain what WACC is and how it is calculated?
Then elaborate on how you get rate for Equity, PS, and Debt
Walk me through a comparable analysis? Also, explain how the companies are chosen?
Walk me through a precedent transaction?
What valuation method (DCF, Comp Co, or Precedent Transactions) would yield the highest valuation?

Interview
Reached out to an alumni currently working at the firm. Completed a first round phone interview main consisting of basic behaviourals (Why IB?) (Tell me about yourself). Second round was another phone interview with an Associate, consisting of the most basic technicals, and behaviourals.
Interview Questions
The first round phone interview consisted of very basic behavioural questions "Why Investment Banking?", "Tell me about yourself?" People were generally very nice and easy-going. After the first round, the second round was another phone interview with an Associate at whichever office you chose to work with. The second round was composed of very basic technical questions, and behaviourals. During the second round there were some follow up questions to your "Why Investment Banking" answer. Also, I was asked if I had ever done any financial modeling.

Interview
I reached out to an employee at the firm, who then set up a phone screen with two people (analyst & associate). I then had an in-person interview a few weeks later with two people. Everyone was very professional.
Interview Questions
A lot more fit questions than I anticipated. There was a lot of emphasis on my writing skills and on my ability to handle feedback on my work. They also spent a long time talking about my personal interests outside of work. There was nothing technical at all, but just be prepared to know your resume in and out (which you should already). Super friendly people, try to let your personality show as much as possible in the interview and stress your past experiences at school and you should be good to go.

Interview
Very casual, two phone interviews. Just spoke with an analyst and an associate. Never met them in person. Heard back a week or two later. They use short expirations to get kids in order to compete with bigger firms.
Interview Questions
Very high level technicals that were right out interview guides. Standard DCF/WACC questions. Nothing much too behavioral and was probably the easiest interview process I've seen.

I cold-called an MD and spoke for 10 or so minutes, and was then told to email a senior analyst. I then got a phone interview, which was all basic fit/background/why IB type questions. A while later, I got an invitation for a final round skype interview with two senior analysts, and this again was mostly fit questions, as I had no prior IB experience (currently a sophomore, interned at ING as an actuarial intern after my freshman year). The only non fit type question, was one of the analysts asking me out of the blue how I would go about valuating google.
Interview Questions
What is Google's market value right now? I basically reasoned how they get a lot of money from ads, they own android and how that is now over 50% of the smartphone market
If we give you the offer, what would be the biggest obstacle for you to overcome? (not verbatim-essentially, he asked what I thought I would struggle with the most to adjust to, etc. if I got the job)

Got a phone interview from a cold email, and that was all fit questions/tell me about yourself/why IB type of thing. Fairly straightforward. the next round was a skype interview 1 on 1. a few more general questions(biggest weakness, etc.), worked through a few cases, had a few logic questions, and a few tech questions. Nothing out of the ordinary, again, if you study up and do your work nothing that would stump you (unless I got lucky and happened to get what I percieved as easy logic questions)
Interview Questions
Estimate the annual income of the tie industry in the UK. Caught me off guard at first, but they want to see how you think through a question like this.
Another weirdish one had more to do with PE, and he asked me about holding portfolios for private schools. Went through a few hypotheticals, and he wanted to see me intuitively explain (since he knew I'd have no idea) why, depending on certain variables, you would want to have a portfolio set up in a certain way

Interview
I only had a first round interview. Had one guy interviewing and another typing notes on the interview. Only specific thing I know about the company is that they mentioned they don't do much modeling compared to other firms and their culture is much more relaxed than an NYC.
Interview Questions
How would you value a private company with no comparables by size?

This was the first technical I had ever received and I'm pretty sure it was because I have DCF on my resume.
