Interview
The hiring process consisted of an initial application, a phone interview and an assessment day with about four other candidates.
Interview Questions
For the assessment day one of the things we were asked to do is to prepare a presentation that discussed the current challenges facing the wealth management industry and how one might address these challenges. Furthermore there were more general interviews with various members of the team with none of the questions being too technical. In addition to the interview there also was a group exercise based on a hypothetical scenario of being stranded in the Canadian wilderness and we had to list a set of items in order of priority in this scenario.

Interview
I was introduced to a senior VP/ PM through a family member. After speaking briefly over the phone a few times about my interests, goals, etc., he asked me if I'd be interested in interviewing for a internship. I was, so, he invited me into the office for an interview. The process was 2on1 with two analysts on his team followed by a 1on1 with him. The interview was fairly simple. all questions revolved around my story, previous experiences, and interests within finance.

A week after the interview I was called and offered the job.
Interview Questions
Tell me about yourself? How did you first become interested in finance? Why wealth management? do you have any experience working first hand with clients? have you ever cold called before? Pitch me a stock. Do you know what an MLP is?

Not a lot of finance related questions, however interviewer went through resume thoroughly. Initial experience at the office was a positive one; employees looked calm and had a good vibe.
