IQ / Intelligence Test
Interview
Interviewed in 2022. Started with online test: (Korn Ferry assessment) 3 sections - math, language, logic/IQ.

Round 0 was HR interview screen with basic personality and fit questions (why consulting?). Said they would pause interview process for those interviewing with MBB. Overall just an easy screening round.

Then 3 rounds: manager/principal, principal/partner, and regional co-managing partner. Interview questions and difficulty depends on interviewer. For example, Round 1 was an very easy market sizing question. Round 2 started off as a market sizing, but interviewer would ask a lot of follow-up questions to challenge assumptions/methodology. On the other hand, have heard other candidates in Round 1 straight up get a brain teaser (e.g. the types found in quant interviews). So really depends on your interviewer.

As always, if they make any promises etc, would recommend to get it in writing as SEA office is known to be arbitrary and unfair

IQ / Intelligence Test
Interview
I applied online, was invited to an online IQ/Quantitative Test and then informed I was selected for by two 1-on-1 interviews for first round, and if you pass two 1-on-1 interviews for final round. All interviews have a behavioural component (why RB, what are important skills for a consultant), followed by a case study. There is about a ~10 minute window at the end for a conversation, for you to ask questions about the company. Most people I met are very nice and competent, one of my interviewers was a little bit eccentric. HR is relatively unresponsive and difficult to communicate with.

Interview
I applied online through my school job portal. Prior to my interview, I networked individually to a couple consultants/ past interns and got an interview. First round consisted simple behavorial questions along with a profit/cost case over the phone. Second round included a visit to the office and a case along with a test regarding your powerpoint and excel skills.
Interview Questions
The case was the hardest for sure. I also didn't expect them to test my powerpoint and excel skills. They basically gave me data and told me to make a deck in a time frame to make sure that I was proficient. Also, my first interview was really early, like 8 am for some reason. The first case was a standard profit cost analysis question regarding if a factory should change how many windows its making. Should have taken more time to think of my framework but was really nervous and inexperienced in my answer.

Qualitative case interview question with some fit questions in the beginning. Case interview required structuring.

Interview
Two parts. The first part was about behaviors questions, asking why RB, why this position, and conflict questions. Nothing special. In the end they asked my view towards Blackberry and Apple's products. And the second interview as case interview-market size question--asking how many elevators are there in HK.
Interview Questions
What do you think of Apple and Blackberry's phones?
how many elevators are there in HK? - I once lived in a neighbor where there 2 elevators in a buildings. There are about 30 apartments in one building. Assuming each household has 3 persons. So each elevator serves about 45 people. Assuming there are 3,000,000 people in HK, so the number of elelaltors=3,000,000/45

Was selected at the on-campus career fair recruiting event. The first round consists of a 45 min "fit" and a case interview. The second round was more complicated and was done at their office. Partners and senior consultants are involved in later stages. The firm does a great job of matching the interviewers to your skills so you can have a meaningful conversation.
