Skills Test
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview at Scottrade started with a brief phone screening from a general HR person. They asked me to walk through my resume to make sure I was at least moderately competent over the phone. Since this was my first internship in my college career, it was pretty basic stuff. Next, you are invited to the branch to interview for the 2-4 person team. Again, nothing technical here, just 'fit' questions. You would be extraordinarily impressive if you have had experience investing your own money and/or had knowledge of financial tools (ETFs, Mutual Funds, Options). Passion plays a role here. Easy stuff.
