After the phone interview, they call me in a week for a face to face interview at the company. First interview with the HR and then interview with the supervisor and manager. There was a basic language and typing test. This interview took about one hour. In about a week, they offered me the internship.

Interview
I was first contacted by their HQ recruiter, who was super helpful and a very pleasant person to deal with. He listened to my specific concerns about the schedule and graduation date and later contacted me to say that there was no problem with it. I had a 15 minute behavioral interview with him, and then moved to an interview with the branch manager and the other broker in the local office. Overall, both interviews were very typical behavioral interviews, no difficult or unexpected questions. The process took about a month and a half, but only because I could not start right away due to some other activities I was involved in. It probably takes less than that to get started.
Interview Questions
I do not remember any difficult or atypical questions, most of them consisted of STAR questions where you had to give examples of certain situations you've been in and how did you act or respond to them: How did you go above and beyond for a client, Tell me about a time where you and you manager were in disagreement, etc.

Interview
I met reps of Scottrade at a University campus event. The HR reps were nice.

My first phone interview with them went okay. They asked the typical interview questions "Tell me a time when...'

I was then told they were going to pass my info along to the Branch Manager to follow up and schedule a phone interview. BM called me the following week and came in shortly after that for a face-to-face interview. This interview was essential the same as the phone interview. At the end I had to take a few tests on their computer and was told they would get back with me.

The following week HR called me to inform me that were offering me the job and I accepted.
Interview Questions
Tell me a time when you were faced with a seemingly impossible task and how you worked to overcome it?
Tell me a time when you had a difficult customer/class mate/co-worker and what you did to resolve the issue?

Interview
The interview at Scottrade started with a brief phone screening from a general HR person. They asked me to walk through my resume to make sure I was at least moderately competent over the phone. Since this was my first internship in my college career, it was pretty basic stuff. Next, you are invited to the branch to interview for the 2-4 person team. Again, nothing technical here, just 'fit' questions. You would be extraordinarily impressive if you have had experience investing your own money and/or had knowledge of financial tools (ETFs, Mutual Funds, Options). Passion plays a role here. Easy stuff.
Interview Questions
I was asked to explain how to brush my teeth over the phone to someone.
Have a reason why you are interested in finance/trading.

After I applied online, I got the call about a week later. Quick phone interview takes about 15 minutes. Usual questions. If you pass that, they email you to meet the Branch Manager for a one on one interview. This interview takes about an hour. Once again the same typical interview questions. The office seemed great and the people there too. Very small team so you will probably get a good chance to know the company and to be mentored. Great job during the semester imo

Phone interviewer was easygoing and asked a few basic questions such as those about my resume, and also asked about a specific customer service experience where I solved a problem for a customer. 1 on 1 interview in the office consisted of resume and personality questions (strengths & weaknesses). And how you would handle certain customer situations. Then a questionnaire on the computer.
