Interview
I submitted my resume and cover letter via email. I followed up after a few days, and the company asked me to come in for an interview. The interview consisted of 3 SVPs, the CEO, and the Manager of Investments interviewing me in a conference room for about two hours. It is a smaller company, so that was most of the deal team at the time. They asked me about the company, had me walk through my resume (and asked me questions during this time as they came up), and asked me some real estate related questions. They told me a bit more about the company and what the analyst role would consist of. I sent a thank you note the same day via email, one for each person I interviewed with. One of the SVPs followed up and set up a breakfast meeting to get a better feel of how I would fit into the organization. This was less formal, and consisted more of my personal life, favorite subjects in school, why I got my minors, what I would go back to study if I could start over, and the same with his background. A few days after the breakfast, I got a call with an offer, which was followed up with an email of the offer letter. After some back and forth over the compensation, I accepted the offer.
Interview Questions
Question: How many degrees are there between the minute hand and the hour hand on the clock when it is 3:15?

Answer: This is actually a simple question, although it can easily fool people. The answer is 7.5 degrees (there are 360 degrees in a circle, yielding 30 degrees between each hour, so the hour hand moves 7.5 degrees every fifteen minutes. At 3:15, the minute hand is on the 3, and the hour hand has moved 7.5 degrees past the 3). Some people who are too quick to give an answer might say zero, thinking that at that time, the hour hand is also on the 3, but it has moved. This was just unexpected for a real estate company; however, they did state in their job posting that they were looking for someone with a quantitative background.
