Finance Leadership Development Program

After getting my resume to my contact at Siemens, it took about a week for HR to contact me. They set up a phone interview for the following week, which was fairly painless (walk me through your resume, general fit questions, any questions for me, etc.). I spoke to the manager of the healthcare group (directly above the entering FLDPs) and an HR rep. Very laid-back.

Two weeks later, the HR rep contacted me again to schedule an in-person interview. I set the date one week out. They paid for the flight and set me up in a comfortable hotel. When I arrived for the interview, everyone was very nice and excited to meet with me. We talked about my resume, my finance experience (which was limited at the time; I mostly had econ and public policy stuff on there), and my goals. I asked a few educated questions about the company and got the sense that they appreciated the research I had done. on that day, I met with the CFO of the healthcare division and the same manager from the phone call -- two 1-hour sessions. I also got a nice tour and a lunch with some current FLDP's.

All in all, very painless process. I felt like I had been courted. The offer letter arrived a week after my return flight touched down.
